RECEPTION – TRANSPORT

Volunteer in Reception or Transport: offer your time to welcome pilgrims, visitors and volunteers in the spiritual surroundings of the Cité Saint-Pierre de Lourdes.

Reception

The mission of the Reception department is to welcome, guide and inform pilgrims, visitors and volunteers.

The missions 

  • Welcome and guide pilgrims and visitors
  • Answer the telephone and direct requests (transfer calls, take messages, etc.)
  • Provide an initial welcome for volunteers
  • Participate in various administrative tasks

Qualities and skills required 

Smile, welcome, listen, care and availability
Computer literate
Autonomous, well-organized and able to manage priorities
Discretion and respect for confidentiality

Special constraints 

Irregularity of activity (peak and off-peak periods)
Adaptability to unforeseen events and changes

15 days minimum
French essential, one or more foreign languages desirable

Transport

The Transport department provides transport from Lourdes station or Lourdes Tarbes Pyrenees airport for Secours Catholique volunteers and sessionnists.

The missions 

  • Carry out transport according to a daily schedule
  • Carry out any other unforeseen journeys requested by Reception.

Before starting your shift, a copy of your driving license must be given to the Reception department. You will be required to drive an 8-seater vehicle or any other vehicle with a B license. You will also be given a cell phone.
