Le Château Fort and its Pyrenean Museum

With over a thousand years of history, the Château Fort de Lourdes is a listed historic monument, offering a panoramic view of the Sanctuary.

Situated on a rocky promontory in a defensive position, the fortified castle now houses the Pyrenean Museum: traditional activities, customs and beliefs.

The museum features objects relating to agropastoralism, the wool industry, costumes and the daily lives of Pyreneans in days gone by.

Lake Lourdes nature at the top of your lungs

Just 3 km from the town center, Lac de Lourdes is a place to relax and enjoy a variety of activities: walking or cycling around the lake, fishing, canoeing, stand-up paddling or simply pedal-boating!

The l’Embarcadère restaurant offers a well-deserved break with a drink, crêpe or meal.

The Pic du Jer and its breathtaking panorama

At a height of 951 m, the Pic du Jer dominates Lourdes, offering a sumptuous panorama of the town, its lake and the Vallée des Gaves…

The summit can be reached on foot or by funicular. At its highest point stands a huge cross, illuminated at night.

The Pic du Jer has three downhill mountain bike trails and has hosted 4 World Cups.
